I started out backing up my old man, Thom Brown’s original music on stage, when I was 15.  My dad is still my biggest supporter, musical confidante, and songwriting inspiration.  Over the years I picked up several instruments and played with lots of different string band projects.  In recent years I have focused a lot on bass, both electric and upright on stage and in the studio. 

Working with creative artists to mourn and celebrate our human condition through original music is my thing.  In recent years my role has mostly been that of a side musician, supporting songwriters in the studio and on stage in various configurations with mandolin, guitar, backing vocals, and bass (upright and electric).  I currently perform and record with SoundR LampN, Dakota Curtis and the Dark, and Carpenter and Clerk.  You can also catch me performing with JP Payton, Ryan Payton, Steve Plessinger, Tim Baker, Rose O’Neal, and others throughout the midwest.  

I perform several times a year, showcasing my own music as well.  I’ll be releasing some of my originals eventually, so keep an eye out for that.
